ANNUAL AWARDS:
WOMEN’S OPPORTUNITY AWARD
This program is an award to celebrate women who have faced severe hardships, preventing them from pursuing and achieving their educational or professional goals. They are the primary source of financial responsibility for their families and are enrolled in or have been accepted to a vocational/skills training program or an undergraduate degree program. The women receiving these cash awards up to $1500 may use them for any costs associated with their educational efforts, including tuition, books, child care, and transportation. The Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania released an official Case Statement that underscores the importance of the Soroptimist Women’s Opportunity Award.
